Recommended for nominated people on a large premises or site with transport movement issues e.g. shared access / on busy road / high vehicle volume. Includes training in guiding vehicles, hand signals and safety.

Cartridge Operated Fixing Tools

This course is based on the Hilti DX450 and equivalent machines and is designed to give delegates a knowledge of inspection, maintenance, fixing methods, choice of nail or fixing and choice of cartridge.

This 1 day course will provide candidates with an introduction to environmental issues on construction sites. It's designed to meet the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain are required to prove to major contractors, and covers the environmental aspects of the new touch screen Health, safety and environment test.

Confined Space Awareness

This course provides delegates with the basic skills and knowledge to manage and supervise work at confined spaces and to make them aware of the risks and the current legal obligations involved in such workplaces.

Control Of Substances Hazardous To Health (COSHH)

Face Fit Testing

Fire Marshal Training

This course ensures that nominated people can effectively carry out their duties as a fire marshal. A Fire Marshal is recommended for all work locations and some locations will require several Marshalls to ensure safety of the workforce in the event of a fire or other serious incident.

Fire Safety Awareness including Practical

First Aid - Emergency - was Appointed Person

This course is for staff who need a basic grounding in first aid or employees acting as their company's appointed person. It is also for staff assisting a qualified first aider and for businesses with a low risk working environment and less than 50 people. An 'Appointed Person' certificate valid for 3 years is issued on completion of the course.

First Aid - Full (Now 3 Day)

This course will run for a total of 18 hours including the examination. Maximum of 6 hours per day. At the end of the course the examination is conducted by two independent assessors. Successful candidates receive a certificate valid for 3 years from the examination date. This course is HSE approved.

This course is for people who are required to use Gas Detection Equipment as part of their role including specification, maintenance and operation. This course is linked to Confined Space Awarness (CT011) training.

Hand Arm Vibration (White Finger) Training

Hand arm vibration is transmitted from work processes into workers’ hands and arms. It is most commonly caused by operating hand held power tools. Regular and frequent exposure to hand arm vibration can lead to permanent health effects collectively known as hand arm vibration syndrome and other specific diseases. This course introduces the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2006 and ensures that employers are fully aware of their responsibilities under this legislation.

Manual Handling - Operations

The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require that employers are responsible for ensuring that all staff who lift or move loads are trained and this course will help employers comply with this legislation. It will teach delegates how to identify risks, develop and understanding of what is being moved and be able to determine the safest method of handling to avoid injury. The course includes assessing risk, loading techniques, tail-lift use and load restraint.

PASMA Mobile Access Tower

This course is aimed at users of mobile access towers (both alloy and fibreglass) and instructs delegates on how to safely erect, move, inspect and dismantle mobile access towers. The course is recognised by the HSE. The official PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association) certification satisfies the ‘Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998’ (PUWER) and the ‘Work at Height Regulations 2005.’

PTS - Rail training

The Personal Track Safety course is the foundation step for work on Network Rail infrastructure. The 2 day course covers the safe system of work for gaining the PTS certification/card. Classroom and track based the course has both a written and practical assessment. The candidate applying for the course must be able to speak English to enable the making of an emergency phone call. Candidates must have a valid Medical and Drug Screen & Alcohol Certificate carried out by Network Rail accredited medical company. A sponsor is also required who maintains the candidates competency management. We can arrange the medical at a venue close to you. Various training venues available.
